ABOUT ME
I am grateful for my life and the experiences that I have been fortunate enough to make memories of. It is challenging to write an “about me” because I believe my story is more than a few paragraphs on my website. Below I share an overview of my life and hope we can learn more about each other sometime soon.
My name is Katlyn Stevens, and I call Atlanta, Georgia home.
I have been traveling around the world since 2014.
I am currently based out of Santiago, Chile which is where my fantastic husband is from, but I am constantly looking for the next place to travel to - so this may change sooner than expected.
I love adventure, meeting new people and telling stories from around the world. In addition to travel, my passion is soccer/football/fútbol.
I have played the beautiful game since I was three years old. I think my love for it has become stronger the older I get because it is the only thing that is the same all around the world. Wherever I go, I always form connections through soccer.
I began learning Spanish in Spanish Immersion courses during my sophomore year of college when I took a semester abroad in Costa Rica. I had the goal to become bi-lingual since I was young and after living in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Spain, Mexico, and Chile - and immersing myself in the language and culture of these countries - I am proud to say I am a fluent speaker.
I am a skilled digital marketer and have succeeded in this field across four different continents. I initially thought I wanted to be a graphic designer, but after two different international internships (Italy and Guatemala), I was offered a third internship in Digital Content at Atlanta United FC. That was when I realized what I really wanted to do.
I wanted to create engaging content, manage digital strategies, connect brands to their community, and, most of all - tell stories.
I enjoy helping brands find themselves in the digital space and take advantage of the positive changes a well-managed digital presence can bring to a business.
The ability to work remotely indefinitely, control my work-life balance and make my own schedule are the three things that pushed me to quit my agency job and become a full-time freelancer and content creator in the summer of 2020.
Over the past 3 years I have built a client roster that I am proud of, formed lasting relationships with my clients and best of all - thoroughly enjoyed the process of running my own company.
Now, In 2023, I’ve decided to launch my second company. I am starting an e-commerce brand in Chile. This is something I have wanted to challenge myself with for over a year and a half. I finally found the perfect product and decided to take the risk. Now, I will be my own client. I am very excited to see where it goes. Stay tuned.
Thank you for taking the time to read this - I would love to learn more about you. Let’s set up a call.
