Katlyn Stevens defines herself as a digital nomad, as she travels the world creating content and working. During the 2021 football season she played for Santiago Morning´s women´s team.
This Wednesday, Ryann Torrero was made official as one of the first two signings for Colo Colo’s women’s team, just in time for the 2023 tournament. The Chilean-American goalkeeper, along with Yessenia Lopez, was presented at a press conference but will not join the preseason because she is preparing for the playoffs with the Chilean national team.
The surprise came when Torrero, showing off her content creator side, published a series of videos on her social media platforms. She tagged Katlyn Stevens, a former Santiago Morning player also from the USA, in all of them. Stevens and Torrero originally met as they played for the same club in 2021.
Stevens is a professional digital marketing expert who works as a consultant, generating social media strategies and content creation. She defines herself as a digital nomad, since she travels around the world, working and creating content from wherever she is traveling.
In the past, she worked with Atlanta United, as she reveals on her personal website, where she also explains that she lives in Santiago since her husband is Chilean. And now she is working with Ryann Torrero, with whom she forged a friendship while they shared the field at Chago.
"Professional footballers, invest in digital presence. If you hire the right team, it will literally pay for itself. Thank you Ryann for trusting me to work with you on your digital strategy and content creation," wrote Katlyn Stevens on her Twitter account, after sharing the “making-of” Torrero’s first day at Colo Colo.
The fact of the matter is that Stevens will be Torrero’s shadow throughout the season while she defends the Cacique’s colors. With her past as a football player behind her, but her love for football ahead of her, Stevens will continue to create digital content, this time with a focus on the Chilean women’s league.
